Apply radiation protection principles in accordance with Act 304, BSRP 2010, ALARA, and departmental safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self.
Prepare and educate patients by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, obtaining relevant history, assessing safety risks, and providing compassionate care throughout the imaging process.
Ensure accurate patient positioning and acquisition of high-quality images, verifying diagnostic acceptability before submission to radiologists.
Operate and maintain imaging equipment, performing daily checks, proper handling, minor troubleshooting, and escalating technical issues to Biomedical Engineering or vendors.

Support service workflow by coordinating patient scheduling, assisting radiologists during contrast studies or specialised procedures, and ensuring efficient patient movement.
Update imaging documentation and records in PACS/RIS/EMR systems, ensuring accuracy in patient data, imaging parameters, and departmental statistics.
Report any clinical, operational, or safety-related incidents within a stipulated time to the Head Diagnostic Imaging Services, ensuring proper documentation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective measures.
Provide guidance to junior radiographers and students by demonstrating proper techniques, professional conduct, and adherence to safety and clinical protocols.
Senior Radiographer will review and ensure imaging quality, provide technical oversight to junior staff, and collaborate with radiologists on protocol optimisation.
Senior Radiographer will handle complex or specialised imaging procedures, including trauma, paediatric, or advanced modality cases requiring higher clinical judgement.
