Test Lead (Automation)

<div><strong>Role Description:</strong><br>This is a full-time on-site role for an Automation Test Lead located in Bengaluru. Responsible for<br>designing, developing, and implementing test automation solutions for our product software.<br>Depending upon the project’s need may lead to functional or non-functional testing, and<br>automated as well as manual testing for such apps.<br><br>This is a technical leadership role that involves testing complex features and working<br>independently while collaborating with other leaders to meet the project’s objectives.

Depending<br>upon the project's need, may lead less experienced testers in the team and supervise their work.<br><br><strong>Job Responsibilities;</strong><br>1. Study business requirements and product architecture to understand the broader testing<br>context.<br>2. Build test automation frameworks, automation strategy, and test scripts using appropriate<br>tools and techniques.<br>3.

Partner with product managers and development leads to understand application<br>requirements and ensure these are effectively tested.<br>4. Participate actively in team discussions, providing feedback on testing practices and<br>processes.<br>5. Test complex features and requirements effectively with the aim of detecting maximum<br>defects.<br>6.

Use a risk-based approach to plan testing across requirements to ensure a good balance<br>between effort and effectiveness.<br>7. Provide technical coaching to less experienced testers on their work and review their<br>work for quality, completeness, and process compliance.<br>8. Work with other leads to plan and lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint demos,<br>and retrospectives.<br>9.

Develop a strong technical skillset by undergoing appropriate training and courses and<br>attending relevant industry events.</div><div><br><strong>Experience:</strong><br>1. At least 8-10 years of hands-on experience in testing complex, rich, and highly interactive<br>web applications including frontend and backend testing.<br>2.

Strong hands-on experience in setting up and maintaining automation framework for<br>frontend, backend testing, and App testing.<br>3. Strong experience working with tools like JIRA, Confluence.<br>4. Strong experience working in Agile Scrum teams and knowledge of frameworks like<br>Scrum<br>5. Familiarity with non-functional testing (load/performance/security, etc.)Skills<br>6.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, e.g., Jenkins or CircleCI.<br><br>Desired

Skills:

• Knowledge of software design fundamentals and architectural patterns applicable to the<br>project (client-server, layered architecture, microservices, etc.)<br>2.
• Strong hands-on testing skills based on your role in the project: functional testing,<br>backend / API testing, non-functional testing, test automation<br>3.
• Strong knowledge of appropriate testing tools/frameworks based on your role (e.g.<br>Selenium, Cypress, Postman, Appium, LoadRunner, JMeter etc.)<br>4.
• Strong knowledge of scripting /programming languages used e.g.
• Java, Python,<br>JavaScript<br>5.
• Excellent verbal, and written English communication skills as well as excellent<br>interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset<br>6.
