About Chemtrans

Chemtrans is a division of K&S Freighters and is a well-respected industry leader in the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of Dangerous and Hazardous Goods and chemicals throughout Australia. 

The Opportunity:

We are seeking multiple experienced HC Drivers to join a highly specialised transport operation based in Coopers Plains, QLD.

With an anticipated commencement in early October 2026, we are fast-tracking applications and encourage suitably qualified drivers to apply as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

Working a rotating milk-run schedule, you’ll join a professional team where safety, compliance and reliability are paramount. These permanent roles involve the linehaul transport of regulated freight within a highly controlled environment.

The roster involves regular nights away from home, with drivers generally away each night while on rotation and returning home during most scheduled breaks.

You will:

Safely transport specialised and regulated freight

Secure loads using approved restraint equipment

Complete pre-start vehicle inspections and compliance checks

Complete all transport and compliance documentation accurately

Adapt to changing operational requirements

Maintain equipment and operate in accordance with company policies and procedures

Deliver professional customer service while maintaining the highest safety standards

What you’ll bring:

Australian Citizenship - mandatory

Valid HC Licence with safe driving history

Ability to successfully complete security screening, including ASIO background checks

Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline or NV1 Security Clearance

Explosives Licence and Dangerous Goods Licence, or willingness to obtain

MSIC and/or ASIC or willingness to obtain

Ability to meet all security, licensing and compliance requirements associate with the transport of explosives and dangerous goods

Strong commitment to safety, compliance and professionalism

Advantageous experience

Previous linehaul driving experience

Side loader experience

Experience working within highly regulated dangerous goods transport environments
