We’re searching for a motivated Trade Assistant to support our busy workshop in Mount Gambier. This is the perfect role for someone mechanically minded, eager to learn and ready to be a strong team contributor.

You’ll work under the leadership of an experienced workshop manager with over 20 years in the transport industry. If you’re eager to learn, you’ll be surrounded by experience.

This role will be suited to someone who enjoys hands-on work in fast moving environment where no two days are the same. You take ownership, show initiative, and genuinely want to grow. This role suits someone who takes ownership, shows initiative and genuinely wants to grow in a fast-moving workshop environment.

You’ll play a key role in keeping our workshop running safely and efficiently, including:

Maintaining high housekeeping standards across the workshop

Keeping the workshop clean, orderly, and safe

Ensuring tools, equipment and facilities are maintained in good working order

Assisting tradespeople with cleaning, painting and completion of repair and maintenance tasks

Other general Yard duties

About you:

You’re reliable, practical, and not afraid of hard work

Mechanically minded with a genuine interest in the trade

Strong attention to detail

Committed to high standards of cleanliness and safety

Able to safely undertake manual tasks (including lifting 20kg+)

Positive attitude with strong communication skills

Able to work well within a team environment

Valid driver’s licence preferred
