Installs, maintains, and repairs manufacturing equipment and fixtures. Conducts general maintenance activities primarily on machinery and related equipment. Maintains repair and maintenance records. Troubleshoots problems and escalates the most complex issues to senior coworkers. Typically has 1- 4 years of experience and works under broad supervision.

• Troubleshoot and repair production machinery, automation cells, robots, and facility systems.

• Install production machinery, facility hardware, and systems relating to both.

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on all facilities and production machinery.

• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.

• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

• Order tools and machinery inventory parts.

• Complete and manage own work orders and maintain parts inventory in MaintainX CMMS software.

• Communicate with and schedule outside vendors and contractors.

• Maintain and secure work tools.

• Clean and maintain work areas.

• Communicate with operators and team members from other shifts.

• Create, modify, and maintain job-related procedures (LOTO, Preventive Maintenance)

• Other duties as assigned by Manufacturing and Maintenance Supervisor.

Skill Requirements:

• Basic to intermediate skills required in one or more of the following areas: electro-mechanical, controls, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.

• Experience troubleshooting automated equipment, sensors and control systems.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

• Proficiency with a DMM (Fluke Digital multimeter).

• Microsoft Outlook and Word.

• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Manual dexterity is required for operating machinery and computers.

• The ability to lift up to 30 pounds is required.

• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Certifications/Licenses

• Valid CT Driver's License

Compensation

$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
