Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of periodic financial statements.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensures that financial reports comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
- Assists external auditors and provides required statements and information for the annual audits.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Identifies and recommends updates to accounting processes and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

- Proficient use of personal computers, possess practical knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word. Advanced Excel skills is a plus!

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration required.
- Five years or more of related experience required.
- CPA and/or CMA designation preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
