What You Will Do

Lancium is seeking an organized, detail-oriented associate to join its Power Team. Reporting to the EVP, Power, the Power Operations Associate will support Lancium's retail power operations in ERCOT, with a focus on regulatory compliance, customer reporting, and process documentation. No prior ERCOT experience is required, and training will be provided.

In this role, you will:

·       Maintain the compliance calendar, prepare recurring regulatory filings, and route them for signature.

·       Keep the REP Register, regulatory contact records, and filing records up to date.

·       Produce the monthly market intelligence report and upload monthly invoices and reports to customer portals.

·       Gather data for quarterly customer scorecards and keep customer handbooks current.

·       Run monthly settlement dashboard checks and flag discrepancies for review.

·       Help write and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring compliance, reporting, and settlement work.

·       Track action items from team meetings.

·       Help define requirements for internal dashboards and reporting tools, and work with the Software Development Team to test them before release.

·       Provide data pulls, analysis, and presentation materials for the Power Team.

·       Learn how customers manage ERCOT price risk and support hedge requests as needed.

What You Will Achieve in Your First Year

·       Deliver Compliance Readiness: You will have taken ownership of the compliance calendar, prepared recurring filings ahead of their deadlines, and kept complete filing records.

·       Deliver Reliable Customer Reporting: You will have produced the monthly market intelligence report and completed monthly customer uploads accurately and on time.

·       Advance Our Standard Operating Procedures: You will have documented recurring compliance, reporting, and settlement work so that another team member can run it from the procedure.

·       Build Market Knowledge: You will have developed a working knowledge of ERCOT settlements and the Texas retail electricity market through hands-on work with the Power Team.

What We Want From You

· Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

· Zero to three years of relevant work experience.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel skills.

· High attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Comfortable using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and checking their output for accuracy.

· Demonstrated enthusiasm for continuous learning and a strong interest in the energy sector.

Preferred Qualifications

· Coursework or experience in energy, utilities, power markets, or regulatory compliance.

· Familiarity with ERCOT, the PUCT, or the Texas retail electricity market.

· Experience with Python, SQL queries, Metabase, Power BI, or other data analysis and visualization tools.

· Experience writing procedures or supporting a compliance, reporting, or operations function.
