The Opportunity

We're looking for an exceptional Head of Development to lead our Professional Services Development Practice and shape the future of AI-powered software engineering at Lancom. This is an opportunity to lead and grow a high-performing development team while driving technical excellence, customer outcomes, and innovation. You will play a key role in embedding AI-assisted and agentic engineering practices, guiding architecture and technology decisions, and ensuring our development capability continues to evolve alongside modern cloud and security practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and grow a high-performing Development team.
• Drive technical excellence and architecture standards across our projects.
• Champion AI-assisted and agentic engineering practices.
• Ensure successful delivery of customer solutions, balancing quality, commercial outcomes, and customer satisfaction.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Champion Security and Compliance Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience leading software development teams.
• Strong solution architecture and software engineering experience.
• Expertise in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices.
• The ability to engage confidently with both technical and business stakeholders.
• A passion for developing people, improving processes, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
• Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• AWS or Azure certification (or working towards certification).
