Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal services.
- Safely operate chainsaws, pole saws, chippers, stump grinders, and other tree care equipment.
- Safely use ropes, harnesses, rigging equipment, and other climbing equipment.
- Identify dead, damaged, diseased, or hazardous limbs and trees.
- Assist with tree removals, storm cleanup, and emergency tree services.
- Load, haul, and properly dispose of branches, logs, and other debris.
- Maintain and inspect tools, equipment, trucks, and safety gear.
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
- Complete work according to company standards and scheduled timelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in arboriculture, tree care, landscaping, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with chainsaws and tree care equipment preferred.
- Ability to work safely at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.
- Arborist certification or relevant training is a plus.
- Ability to pass required background and motor vehicle checks.
Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent physical activity, including:
- Standing, walking, bending, climbing, and reaching for extended periods.
- Lifting and carrying heavy materials and equipment.
- Working outdoors in heat, humidity, rain, and other weather conditions.
- Working at various heights while using appropriate safety equipment.
- Operating loud machinery and power equipment.
