Langham Hospitality Group is seeking an analytical and commercially minded Assistant Manager – Project Analysis to support the evaluation of new hotel management and development opportunities across global markets.
The successful candidate will play an active role in assessing new projects through market research, feasibility analysis and financial modelling. The position will be responsible for evaluating market positioning, operating potential and commercial viability, and providing recommendations to support management decision-making.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct hotel market, tourism, economic and competitive analyses across international markets
- Prepare feasibility studies for new hotel management and development opportunities
- Develop detailed hotel operating projections, including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, revenue, expenses and profitability
- Assess market positioning, competitive supply and demand, brand suitability and overall project potential
- Benchmark proposed projects against comparable hotels and relevant market performance
- Review financial and operating assumptions and perform sensitivity and scenario analyses
- Evaluate project risks, opportunities and key commercial considerations, and formulate recommendations
- Prepare clear recommendations and presentation materials for senior management
- Manage assigned project analyses and coordinate inputs from relevant internal stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with development, finance, operations, technical services and other internal teams
- Support multiple projects concurrently and ensure analyses and deliverables are completed within required timelines
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in hospitality or real estate feasibility, consulting, development, investment, asset management, hotel operations or financial analysis
- Good understanding of hotel operations, hotel financial statements and key performance indicators is an advantage
- Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop commercially sound recommendations
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple assignments with limited supervision
- Strong writing, presentation and communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
