Council is offering an exciting opportunity to join our Information Technology Department as a Web Systems Administrator within the Digital Engineering and Experience Team.
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the organisation's web-based systems and services, including Council's external websites, intranet and a range of web platforms and applications.
You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing existing systems while delivering new web-based solutions that support organisational objectives. Working independently and collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external providers, you will help ensure Council's digital services remain secure, reliable and user-focused.

This exciting role will:  

• Ensure the security and reliability of the Council’s web-based systems
• Provide expert technical advice on the design and development of Council’s web-based systems
• Lead significant web-based projects to deliver planned organisational outcomes within agreed timeframes and budgets 
• Design, develop and implement in-house web-based software solutions.
• Customise, integrate and implement externally sourced web-based software packages.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into practical web-based solutions

LET’S HEAR ABOUT YOU
You will bring substantial experience administering web-based systems, along with proven capability in designing, developing, implementing and supporting web-based solutions in a corporate environment.
You will have extensive knowledge of software development methodologies and contemporary web technologies, together with experience working across the full lifecycle of digital solutions. Experience with ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML and CSS will enable you to confidently build, support and maintain high-quality web applications.
With a customer-focused approach, you will be skilled at managing priorities, solving complex technical problems and delivering effective outcomes that meet organisational needs.
You will also demonstrate: 

• Strong project management and organisational skills
• Effective written and interpersonal communication
• The ability to lead technical outcomes within cross-disciplinary teams
• Experience building productive relationships with clients, colleagues and suppliers
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools, such as agentic coding assistants, to support the development, testing and maintenance of web solutions
• A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation

• Competitive salary from $105,134 to $122,182 per year plus 12% superannuation
• Commencing salary set in line with skills and experience with annual reviews available to support movement through the salary range
