With multiple awards to our name, Larian Studios has proven that we’re dedicated to delivering high-quality role-playing games As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Head of Studio to lead the Dublin team and help us in crafting the high calibre games our fans have come to expect.
Responsibilities
- Day to day Operational Management of the Dublin studio, including project and budget management
- Provide HR support and consultation to the Dublin studio team
- Daily supervision and leadership of team members alongside project managers
- Mentorship and coaching of people, supporting recruitment, overseeing new employee on-boarding and career development
- Closely cooperate and communicate transparently with, Larian’s Directors, company headquarters, and other Studio Heads
- Ensure Dublin team harmony, team resilience and foster a vibrant, fun, productive studio work environment
- Be a strong advocate of the Larian culture and live by Larian’s values
- Be the face of the studio, speaking at conferences and promoting the studio
- Work with local colleges and course providers to run Internship programmes based on studio/team requirements
- Liaise with local authorities to ensure the studio is always in line with local laws and regulations.
- Work with local authorities and governments to develop strategies to improve the gaming sector in Ireland. Be the voice of Larian at a local level to ensure government strategies align with Larian’s vision.
- Work with authorities and governments to successfully claim any tax credits available to Larian (R&D, DGTC)
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a Leadership role in the Games Industry or a similar creative industry, working with multidisciplinary teams
- Project Management, Coaching \ Mentorship or Project Delivery experience
- Experience working with international teams, and a track record of developing effective working relationships internally and externally
- Understanding of Game or Product development life cycles
- Player and People-focused
- Demonstrate sound judgment consistently, and take ownership of decisions within your area of responsibility
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and capable of adapting to changing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
