Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

The Assistant Director of Nursing plays a crucial role in supporting the Director of Nursing in leading our nursing team. This position is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the nursing department, promoting clinical excellence, and fostering a culture of compassion, professionalism, and continuous improvement. We are looking for someone with strong clinical and leadership skills, as well as LEAN and technology skills.

Schedule:

Full-Time, Weekdays; On-Call 1 weekend per month, 8 Hour Shifts, Monday - Friday Primary Responsibilities and

Duties:

• Support the Director of Nursing in leading the nursing team, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Help develop and enforce nursing policies, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care and improve outcomes.
• Monitor clinical practices, care plans, and infection control to ensure quality and compliance.
• Provide supervision, training, and performance feedback to promote staff growth and accountability.
• Assist with hiring, scheduling, and onboarding to maintain adequate, skilled staffing levels.
• Address resident and family concerns, fostering clear communication and trust.
• Participate in quality improvement, incident reviews, and survey readiness efforts.
• Model professionalism and uphold a positive, respectful work environment.
• Stay current with nursing trends and contribute to efficient, cost-effective operations.
