The Events Lead oversees daily event operations, event staff, and guest experience across NuWu’s event spaces. Responsible for managing an event crew of 4–5 team members, overseeing floor logistics, and facilitating B2B networking and vendor intakes, this position ensures every event runs smoothly and professionally. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with excellent communication skills who can organize staff, support business partners, and maintain an inclusive, energetic environment.
Ensure all event signage, directional guides, digital displays, and promotional materials are clearly displayed, accurate, and up to date before doors open.
Serve as the primary on-site escalation point for vendor feedback, inquiries, or special requests, resolving issues promptly with high hospitality standards, and escalating to management when appropriate.
Monitor safety, house rules, and consumption etiquette, maintaining a safe, inclusive, and compliant atmosphere for all attendees.
Manage VIP guests, reserved seating areas to deliver a premium, personalized experience.
Gather real-time guest feedback and observations during events to share actionable recommendations with management for future programming improvements.
Lead, coordinate, and supervise Event Hosts/Emcees and event support staff before, during, and after events.
Assign roles and responsibilities for setup, guest flow, check-ins, and breakdown.
Ensure staff are punctual, prepared, and aligned with NuWu brand standards.
Ensure team engagement throughout event flow and peak periods.
Act as the main point of contact for troubleshooting during events.
Coordinate event programming and activities with the Event Host/Emcee, management, Marketing, and other stakeholders as appropriate.
Assist in facilitating introductions with Local businesses, Vendors, brands, and industry guests.
Represent NuWu professionally in relationship-building settings and on-site networking opportunities.
Serve as a liaison between potential business partners and NuWu management, collecting and documenting contact information during scheduled work shifts using approved tools such as Google Forms and spreadsheets.
Refer partnership proposals, pricing discussions, contractual matters, and other business commitments to authorized management personnel.
Assist in scheduling DJs, Food trucks and other supporting vendors for events.
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be 21+
1-3 years of experience in events, hospitality, guest services, entertainment, or a related environment; prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, delegate responsibilities, and coordinate multiple priorities.
Strong creative eye and attention to detail
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Ability to adapt to fast-paced and evolving projects
Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays for events
Stand, kneel, and walk for an extended period of time.
Lift up to 30 lbs.
Bend, twist,reach, and perform light physical labor.
Retail dispensary/lounge setting with designated sales floor, cashier, fulfillment, drive-thru, consumption lounge, and outdoor courtyard stations.
