We have a very clear mission at Legacy: to make life better for our patients, our community and each other. We show it every day, in everything we do. At Legacy, we have a fundamental responsibility to improve the wellness of everyone we touch and empower people to live healthier lives. If you are interested in joining a team that is making a difference, we would like to talk with you.

    Responsibilities

Provides leadership and direction for CARES Northwest while conducting an active medical practice as a child abuse examiner.

Provides medical evaluations, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to alleged victims of child abuse.  Provides consultation to Emergency Departments and inpatient coverage at Randall Children’s Hospital.  As a specialist in the field, acts as a trainer/consultant at CARES Northwest.

    Qualifications

As a condition of hire and as requested throughout employment, CARES Northwest requires child abuse background checks which are conducted through the Department of Human Services (DHS) Background Check Unit (BCU).  This requires a signed release and authorization, and the background check includes a search of DHS systems for any history of abuse or neglect of a child.  If a record exists, the BCU will report the finding back to CARES Northwest and findings will be addressed in accordance with program policies.
