Focal Point has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer II to join our Custom Development team! This is an exciting opportunity to be a key part of Focal Point’s engineering team, developing and supporting world-class luminaire designs. This position will lead the development of luminaires from concept to production, including prototyping, validation and regulatory testing, collaboration with manufacturing, and ordering system setup. Project management and organizational skills will be honed working on large scale projects with cross-functional teams to deliver on timeline and cost targets. This position reports to the Custom Engineering Development Leader.

Requirements:
• 3-5 years of professional engineering work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited program.
• Experienced knowledge of 3D CAD software. SolidWorks preferred.
• Working knowledge of GD&T.
• Demonstrated success working in cross-functional teams through projects or organizations.
• Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 starting base plus bonus.
