    Lenze Americas is growing its service business with local repair operations and is hiring a Mechanical Repair Technician to support this new and exciting initiative.

    Position Title: Mechanical Repair Technician

    Position Location: Uxbridge, MA

    Position Type: Onsite Monday – Friday

    Compensation: Up to $32/hour (Compensation depends on skills, knowledge, education, and experience)

    Position Snapshot: The Mechanical Repair Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Lenze gears and motors. This role involves disassembling gear units, inspecting and replacing seals and bearings, diagnosing mechanical issues, and reassembling components to ensure optimal performance. The technician will work closely with the service team to deliver high-quality repairs that meet Lenze standards.

    About you: You’re a hands-on mechanical troubleshooter who takes pride in diagnosing issues and restoring equipment to peak performance. You’re comfortable working with gearboxes, motors, and precision tools, and you value accuracy in every repair. You stay organized, prioritize safety, and document your work clearly. You also enjoy collaborating with others to solve complex challenges and improve overall repair quality.

    A day in the life:

    • Disassemble gearboxes and motors for inspection and repair.
    • Diagnose mechanical issues, including wear, damaged components, and product quality.
    • Replace damaged/faulty components as needed.
    • Reassemble gearbox units and motors to specifications.
    • Perform functional testing to ensure proper operation after repair.
    • Document detailed repair reports and recommend preventive measures.
    • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
    • Collaborate with engineering and service teams for complex troubleshooting.
    • Able to operate manual and hydraulic presses and various electronic diagnostic equipment.
    • Familiar and able to use various hand tools such as drills, ratchets, torque wrenches, air tools, and hammers.
    • Utilize precision measuring tools (micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, calipers) for accurate component alignment.
