Housekeeping

Position Summary:

• • Assist the Housekeeping Supervisor in areas including but not limited to making beds, general cleaning, organization, and laundry. Assist with assuring the highest degree of quality guest care is maintained at all times. Responsible for providing a clean and sanitary environment for guests. Flexible schedule. 

  • Coordinate with the Housekeeping Manager about all scheduling

Responsibilities:

• • Assist with the daily activities of the Housekeeping department to include appropriate cleaning of all guest rooms, offices, and common areas. 

  • Assist in upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct.

  • Assist with the proper maintenance of all equipment.

  • Represent Christ with co-workers and guests.

  • Follow instructions on use of all cleaning solutions. Maintain the facilities by cleaning each surface with the appropriate solution. 

  • Removal and disposal of trash

  • Report any needed repairs to the supervisor immediately (such as leaky faucets or toilets, loose tile, broken window panes, missing screws, beds needing repair, etc.)

Overview of cleaning (consists of, but is not limited to):

• • Vacuum all carpeting/ rugs

  • Change and wash bedding including blankets, duvets, and mattress pads as needed

  • Mopping all hard floors with appropriate solutions

  • Cleaning sinks, countertops, toilets, and showers

  • Dusting - furniture, baseboards, etc.

  • Washing windows and mirrors

  • Dusting all decor

  • Cleaning in-unit kitchens/ kitchenettes

  • Laundry as directed

  • Refilling soaps, toilet paper, paper towels, sanitary bags, water bottles, coffee pods, etc

Skills, Abilities, Characteristics, and Physical Demands:

• The ability to anticipate housekeeping needs, change goals and direction quickly, and multitask.

• Basic knowledge of Housekeeping processes and procedures.

• Be focused, diligent, and attentive to details.

• Teachable.

• Excellence in customer service including being conscientious, polite, and maintaining a servant’s attitude. 

• Capable of using independent judgment/ solid decision making skills.

• Activator/ self-motivated to accomplish goals with a strong sense of responsibility.

• Demonstrate sound organizational, coordinating, and personal interface skills.

• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail. 

• Must be flexible with working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

• Must appropriately handle various cleaning solvents, chemicals, and equipment.

• Required to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull, and work a flexible schedule. Must be able to move continuously during work hours. Various working conditions are expected: indoor, outdoor, rain or shine
