    PREGNANCY CENTER RECEPTIONIST

    **Please note: Before submitting your application- candidates considered for this role will have fluency in English and conversational proficiency in Spanish**

    This position will function in the Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center as the front-desk receptionist and first contact with patients and clients. We seek a compassionate, organized, and professional individual who can multi-task in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for overseeing the front desk administrative duties, providing excellent patient service and represents Life Network to the public in a hospitable and professional manner. It offers an individual a rewarding opportunity to minister in a dynamic and growing evangelistic ministry. Due to the diverse population that we serve, the ability to communicate comfortably in both Spanish and English is essential.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for answering telephones and routing calls promptly
    • Responsible for scheduling appointments and sending appointment reminders
    • Follows established protocols in processing incoming patients and clients
    • Maintains electronic filing system and patient/client information in data base
    • May assist in training volunteers and new staff in duties and data entry
    • Performs administrative duties needed for proper functioning of a medical office
    • Assists the director with additional clerical support
    • Participates in staff development events and volunteer in-services
    • Participation by all staff is required at Life Network’s major events

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum 1-2 years of related experience
    • Must be fluent in English and conversationally proficient in Spanish

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Strong advocate for sanctity of life issues
    • Possesses Christian testimony with evidence of Christian maturity in personal and professional life
    • Active commitment in a local church
    • A passion for the ministry accomplished through Life Network and a heart for reaching the lost of our community/world with the Gospel
    • Demonstrates self-motivation; shows outstanding administrative and organizational skills
    • Demonstrates ability to triage in a calm, pleasant and professional manner
    • Exhibits good communication skills, both written and oral
    • Presents in a professional manner
    • Teachable spirit, patient, compassionate, and functions well in a team environment
    • Flexible and possess cultural awareness with unanticipated and unusual situations
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Internet savvy
    • Aptitude to learn software programs and systems

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
    • Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and phone for administrative and front-desk tasks
    • Occasional bending, reaching, and carrying of office supplies and materials
    • Ability to occasionally lift up to 10–20 lbs.
    • Visual, hearing, and verbal ability sufficient to communicate with patients, staff, and the public
    • Ability to remain at a front-desk workstation for extended periods

    CLASSIFICATION

    Full-time at 40 hours per week. Pay range: $16.00 - $18.50 per hour. Reports to the Pregnancy Center Assistant Director. Scheduled hours are Monday through Friday. Primarily working out of the Galley location.
