Lifemark Health Group | Calgary, Alberta
Are you an experienced physiotherapist ready to take the next step in your career- but not ready to step away from the clinical work you love?
We’re looking for a Physiotherapist / Clinic Director to lead one of our Calgary clinics while maintaining an active caseload. This is an opportunity to combine clinical practice, people leadership and business ownership in one role: treating patients, mentoring clinicians, shaping the clinic culture and helping the business grow.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop your business and operational leadership skills while supported by Lifemark’s broader network. You’ll take ownership of clinic performance, contributing to the development and execution of the clinic business plan while building strong relationships with patients, physicians and referral partners. In this role, you will identify service growth opportunities, expand the clinic’s impact and continually enhance the patient experience. Using clinic performance measures, you’ll celebrate successes, identify opportunities for coaching and improvement, and partner with clinic and regional leadership to support strong financial and operational performance.
The ideal candidate brings 3–5+ years of clinical experience, a passion for developing others and an interest in growing their leadership and business skills.
In this role, you’ll divide your time between leading the clinic and maintaining your own physiotherapy caseload.
You’ll create a positive, collaborative environment where people feel supported, challenged and excited to grow. You will:
Provide visible, supportive leadership to the clinic team.
Mentor and develop physiotherapists and other clinical team members.
Identify and develop future leaders within the clinic.
Support recruitment, onboarding and retention of great team members.
Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, learning and shared success.
Lead by example through your own clinical practice and commitment to exceptional patient care.
As both a physiotherapist and clinic leader, you’ll help ensure consistently high standards of care. You will:
Maintain an active caseload and deliver personalized, evidence-informed physiotherapy care.
Develop treatment plans that support each patient's rehabilitation, mobility and wellness goals.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Educate patients and their families on recovery, prevention and self-management strategies.
Complete chart audits and provide coaching related to clinical reasoning, treatment planning and documentation.
Maintain strong standards for communication and documentation.
Stay current with emerging evidence, clinical practices and professional standards.
You’re an experienced physiotherapist who enjoys helping people succeed—both patients and colleagues. You’re curious about the business side of healthcare and energized by the opportunity to influence the culture, performance and growth of a clinic.
You bring:
3–5+ years of clinical physiotherapy experience, ideally in an outpatient environment.
Active registration and good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.
Professional liability insurance as required.
A patient-first mindset and commitment to high-quality, evidence-informed care.
Strong communication, relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
A genuine interest in coaching, mentoring and developing others.
The ability to provide constructive feedback and navigate performance conversations.
An entrepreneurial mindset and interest in clinic growth and business development.
The ability to balance clinical responsibilities with people and operational leadership.
Previous formal management experience is an asset, but it isn't the only path to success. If you're an experienced clinician who has naturally become a mentor, clinical leader or go-to person on your team and you're ready for greater responsibility, we'd like to hear from you.
We believe that when our team members thrive, our patients feel the difference. As a Physiotherapist / Clinic Director, you'll have the opportunity to build both your clinical career and your leadership career, backed by the resources and expertise of a national organization.
You can expect:
High earning potential with support to build a caseload aligned with your clinical interests.
$1,500 annual learning and development allowance (based on employment status).
A collaborative team culture focused on learning and shared success.
Centralized support that allows you to focus on your patients, your people and your clinic.
Ongoing clinical and leadership mentorship.
Opportunities to develop specialized services, including areas such as pelvic health and vestibular rehabilitation.
Career growth opportunities across Lifemark's national network.
Job mobility and relocation opportunities across Canada.
We also offer:
Flexible health benefits, including medical, dental and vision coverage for you and your family.
Paid wellness and vacation days.
Employee Share Ownership Program (Shoppers Drug Mart), including a 25% company match of up to 5% of your base salary.
30% employee discount at Shoppers Drug Mart.
Corporate discounts through GoodLife Fitness and WorkPerks, plus an Employee Assistance Program.
Unlimited employee referral rewards—up to $5,000 per successful hire.
