    How you’ll contribute 

    A Central Sterile Lead Technician who excels in this role:

    • Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.
    • Cleans and disinfects all equipment. 
    • Prepares equipment and specialty trays for processing and sterilization as

    assigned.

    • Assesses equipment functioning and performance, notifies appropriate person of any defects/damage, and prepares equipment which needs to be sent out for repair.
    • Functions as charge person in managers absence. 
    • Makes job assignments as needed. 
    • Communicates effectively with all user departments

    What we're looking for
    Central Sterile Lead Technician:

    • Minimum Education
      High school diploma or equivalent
      *Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education.
    • Required Skills
      • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
      • Certifications: (only need one of the following)
      • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) by International Association of Healthcare Central Service
      • Material Management (IAHCSMM)
    • OR
      • Certification as Central Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) by Certification Board for Sterile
      • Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) 2 years related experience
      • 5 years supervisor experience (Preferred)
