Liquid Personnel are proud to be working with Richmond and Wandsworth Councils to recruit a skilled and committed AMHP Team Manager to lead their daytime Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) Service.

As the AMHP Team Manager, you will:

• Lead and manage the daytime AMHP Service
• Provide professional leadership, supervision, and support to AMHPs
• Ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities under the Mental Health Act
• Oversee social supervision for conditionally discharged patients under Section 42
• Carry out Mental Health Act assessments
• Collaborate with partner agencies including the Mental Health Trust, Police, and Ambulance Services
• Maintain performance against national and local targets
• Support AMHPs with supervision, training, and access to legal advice

Essential requirements of this Social Work Team Manager role:

• Registration as a Social Worker and current AMHP qualification
• Approved as an AMHP by a local authority within the last 5 years
• Compliance with annual AMHP training requirements
• Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act, case law, and MOJ requirements
• Understanding of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks
