    Job description

We’re looking for a Sales Account Executive who thrives on building and growing client relationships while delivering strong sales results. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing the full client lifecycle, from qualifying inbound opportunities and onboarding new accounts to driving long-term growth, retention, and revenue expansion. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of SMB accounts that you build and grow through new client acquisition, balancing strategic account management and hands-on operational support to deliver a seamless customer experience.

The ideal candidate is a service-minded self-starter with exceptional communication skills and a passion for building strong, long-term client relationships. Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, effective prioritization, and a proactive approach to managing opportunities in a fast-paced environment. The ability to balance relationship management, revenue generation, and operational responsibilities is essential.

This position reports directly to the Director of Sales and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the growth of our customer base and overall business.

    Responsibilities

    • Meet or exceed revenue and performance targets through the acquisition, growth, and retention of client accounts

    • Build and manage your own portfolio of SMB client accounts by converting inbound leads into long-term client relationships and growing those accounts over time through retention and expansion opportunities.

    • Qualify inbound opportunities, assess business needs, and develop solutions that align with client objectives

    • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the partnership

    • Own all aspects of client relationships including onboarding, training, and ongoing support, ensuring continued growth and retention

    • Manage all aspects of the pre- and post-sales experience for accounts through collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure successful completion of transactions and a positive, consistent customer experience

    • Perform day-to-day administration of all account-related activities, opportunities, pipeline updates, and forecasting within the relevant business and CRM systems

    • Lead and actively participate in client meetings

    • Create and execute strategic account plans designed to achieve client goals while supporting business objectives

    Qualifications

    Education/ Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree required; major in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field strongly preferred

    • 3+ years of experience in a quota-carrying sales, account management, or client success role with responsibility for acquiring, growing, and retaining client relationships

    Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Outstanding interpersonal skills that allow successful business interactions with individuals of all leadership styles, personalities, and career levels

    • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

    • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint

    Ability:

    • Highly motivated, disciplined, and reliable with a strong sense of autonomy and enthusiasm for achieving goals

    • Ability to work effectively in time-sensitive situations while maintaining a high standard of client service

    • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy

    • Ability to manage time effectively while prioritizing and executing multiple tasks at once

    • Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and decision-making competencies

    Work Conditions/ Physical Demands:

    • This position is fully remote, with candidates located in the Eastern Time Zone strongly preferred. The successful candidate will maintain regular business hours aligned with the Eastern Time Zone and be consistently available throughout the workday.
