Contents Technician

Pro-Craft Restoration, based in Farmers Branch, TX is a professional and agile restoration company dedicated to delivering every customer a 5-star experience. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Contents Technician to join our team. This position involves helping homeowners and businesses safely pack, inventory, transport, and handle personal belongings following property damage or emergency situations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Pack and carefully protect household contents into boxes and containers.
• Inventory and document contents accurately.
• Label and organize boxes and household items for storage or return.
• Load and unload furniture, boxes, and other contents.
• Safely operate and drive a 26-foot box truck.
• Assist with moving and handling furniture and other large or heavy items.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area.
• Follow company procedures for handling customers' personal belongings.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers during stressful situations.
• Be available for on-call emergency services when needed.
• Work in homes and properties that may have experienced water, fire, smoke, or other damage.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to safely drive a 26-foot box truck.
• Previous moving, restoration, warehouse, packing, or contents-handling experience is a plus.
• Must be able to lift, carry, load, and unload furniture and boxes.
• Strong attention to detail, especially when inventorying and labeling items.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Professional attitude and good communication skills.
• Must be willing to respond to emergency calls when scheduled.
• Mitigation or Restoration experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding position. Candidates should be comfortable with frequent lifting, carrying, bending, standing, walking, loading, and unloading. The ability to lift and move heavy household items safely is required.

Work Environment & Schedule
This is a full‑time, field‑based position with a schedule that may vary depending on active projects, customer needs, and operational demands. Technicians may be required to participate in an on‑call or after‑hours rotation to support urgent service requests when needed. This role is hands‑on and physically active, working in a variety of residential, commercial, or industrial environments. Technicians regularly use tools, equipment, and safety gear while following established procedures, adhering to safety standards, and collaborating with team members, supervisors, and customers to complete assigned tasks efficiently and professionally.
