Assistant Store Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

At LOJEL Japan (launched 2024), you'll take charge of overall store operations during our expansion phase. Working alongside the Store Manager, you'll manage daily store activities and direct sales while elevating customer service for the Japanese market. We're seeking candidates with Japanese retail operations experience and a strong drive to boost sales and customer experience. Based at our directly managed Parco_ya Ueno store (with occasional training at our Yokohama office), you'll serve a global customer base using English and Chinese. This is a rewarding opportunity for a proactive, initiative-driven professional to grow in a global environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Store Operations

• Handling daily store operations including customer service and product sales.
• Cashier duties, manage cash and sales of the store.
• Stock replenishment, goods inspection, and inventory management in coordination with our warehouse.
• Arranging shipments to customers and stores.
• Handling enquiries delivered directed to stores via telephone or email and so on.
• Management of store layout and cleaning.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Possession of a valid work permit in Japan.
• Must be experienced in retail sales as store staff roles.
• Strong initiative mindset, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience in the fashion industry is preferable.
• Experience within the luxury consumer goods or high-end consumer goods industry is desirable.
• A strong background with sales of suitcases, bags, and leather goods is welcome.

Information for this job

• Annual Salary: 3,000,000 - 4,500,000JPY
• Indefinite-term labour contract (without a fixed term)
• Probation period: 3 month (maximum extended to 6 month if needed)
• Work place: LOJEL - PARCO_ya Ueno Store
• Working hours: Shift based work. 9:30 - 20:30 (8 hours work with 1 hour brake)
• Day off: According to the shift.
• Overtime work existence: Yes (Only on the occasion if necessary, not recommended)
