    Summary:

    Calibration Physicist 1 is responsible for verification of proton treatment delivery and periodic quality assurance of proton beamlines and treatment devices. Performs other duties as needed.
    Education and

    Experience:

    Bachelor's Degree in Physics required from an accredited institution. Some work in a physics laboratory or similar setting preferred.
    Knowledge and

    Skills:

    • Requires handling and use of delicate instrumentation.
    • Must be able to effectively communicate regarding radiation measurements and calibration procedures.
    • Requires use of computer for input of data and operation of treatment machine.
    • Able to communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure task completion.
    • Able to request and accept guidance in task completion.
    • Must be able to work well within a group.
    • Requires the ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict timelines for patient treatments.
    • Reasoning and problem solving skills are essential; language skills included.
