Reporting directly to the Dean of Health and Wellness Sciences, the Full-Time Faculty member will serve as a Primary Instructor for the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP). This educator delivers classroom, lab, and clinical instruction for the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) course, ensuring full alignment with Ohio Administrative Code (OAC).
All faculty members are responsible for serving Lorain County and surrounding communities, driving student success, maintaining strict state compliance, fulfilling all contracted hours as scheduled, and upholding the college's vision, mission, and core values.
Principal Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities of the Full Time Faculty position include:
How you will adapt your teaching practices to promote learning, engagement, and academic achievement for all students, spanning secondary (high-school dual-enrollment) through traditional and non-traditional post-secondary learners.
Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse with current, valid license in the State of Ohio; minimum of 2 years nursing experience as an RN; valid Ohio Department of Health Train-the-Trainer certificate, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications: One year of long-term care experience as an RN preferred. Experience with course instruction and development in a higher education setting; strong technology skills including knowledge of Excel, Word, and Canvas Learning Management System.
