Preparing, coordinating, and supervising activities for offenders/detainees.
Explains and demonstrates to inmates the proper technique and use of all recreational equipment, including the enforcement of safety rules and regulations.
Inspects recreation areas for cleanliness and safety.
Maintains recreation department records.
Access the needs and interests of offenders/detainees and plan activities, accordingly, given the available equipment or facilities.
Orders, maintains, and schedules the repair of all recreation department equipment.
Purchase equipment and supplies needed for all recreational activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
2 + years of experience leading a recreation program.
Administrative, clerical, and customer service experience required.
Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability and willingness to learn new systems quickly and use technology effectively.
