Job description

Como Tortilla Prep, desempeñas un papel clave en el buen funcionamiento de nuestra cocina, preparando y organizando los ingredientes para la cocción y el montaje de los platillos del menú.

Responsabilidades:

Preparar ingredientes, incluyendo cortar verduras, marinar carnes y porcionar condimentos, siguiendo las recetas y los estándares de calidad.
Supervisar los niveles de ingredientes y comunicarte con el personal de cocina para asegurar suficiente stock para los próximos turnos. Asistir en la organización y rotación del inventario según sea necesario.
Mantener la limpieza y el buen funcionamiento del equipo de cocina (cuchillos, cortadoras, procesadores de alimentos), siguiendo los procedimientos de limpieza y mantenimiento.
Cumplir con los protocolos de seguridad alimentaria e higiene, incluyendo el almacenamiento, etiquetado y manejo adecuado de los ingredientes.
Colaborar con el equipo de cocina, incluyendo cocineros y taqueros, para coordinar la preparación y garantizar un flujo eficiente durante las horas de mayor actividad.
Apoyar el control de calidad inspeccionando los ingredientes para asegurar frescura y consistencia en las porciones y presentación.
Ayudar en otras tareas de cocina según sea necesario, incluyendo lavado de platos, limpieza y organización de las estaciones de trabajo.

Requisitos:

Experiencia previa en preparación de alimentos, preferiblemente en un restaurante o establecimiento de comida rápida de ritmo acelerado.
Conocimientos básicos de seguridad e higiene alimentaria.
Capacidad para seguir recetas y porciones con precisión.
Gran atención al detalle y habilidades organizativas.
Capacidad para trabajar de manera eficiente bajo presión y mantener la compostura en periodos de alta demanda.
Capacidad física para levantar hasta 50 libras (≈23 kg).
Flexibilidad para trabajar noches, fines de semana y días festivos según sea necesario.

Salario por hora = $18 por hora + propinas

Follow food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper storage, labeling, and handling of ingredients.
Collaborate with kitchen team members, including cooks and taqueros, to coordinate preparation and ensure efficient workflow during peak hours.
Support quality control by inspecting ingredients for freshness and ensuring consistency in portion sizes and presentation.
Assist with general kitchen duties as needed, including dishwashing, cleaning, and workstation organization.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a food preparation role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant or fast-food environment.
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to follow recipes and portion sizes accurately.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain composure during busy periods.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
