Louis W Bray Construction is seeking a Yard and Shop Worker to join our winning team and support the completion of Heavy Civil Construction projects throughout the Ottawa area.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To promote safety, quality and reliability in all activities conducted by the construction team.
• Operate forklifts and other construction equipment.
• Load and unload floats and trailers,
• Pick up and deliver material tools and equipment to various job sites and vendors.
• Maintain Lifting devices and shop tools.
• Keep yard and Shop clean and organized.
• Assist with Equipment Repairs as needed.
• All other related duties as required.

 Required Skills and Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Physically demanding work, so the ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required.
• Practical knowledge of construction equipment's function, operation, and maintenance.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Experience operating a Telehandler and Forklift
• Experience towing trailers and know how to secure loads properly. 
• Experience operating a 3-ton flatbed truck.
• Forklift Operator certification (preferred)
• Multitasking and problem solving is a must.
