    Job Description:

    The WAE Research Associate 1 position will collect data from several research sites in Morganza to Gulf levee system to analyze marsh producitivity.. The position will complete analytical analysis of data to reports that will be submitted to project managers. The position requires use of computer skills for statistical analysis and data presentation. Also, will provide project management skills in completing research field experiments on marsh production and surface elevation changes.

    Job Responsibilities:

    30% Data analysis and statistical interpretation of data sets from field projects.

    40% Establish and monitor field site in marshes along the Morganza to Gulf levee system to determine marsh production, soil characteristics and belowground biomass to evaluate how levee designs my impact marsh sustainability.

    30% Prepare data reports with statistical analysis, graphs, and tables to interpret impact of levee system on marsh productivity and other duties as assigned.
