    Job description

Founded in 2017, Lovelytics has helped some of the most complex enterprises across industries such as Energy & Utilities, Media & Entertainment, Manufacturing and Retail & CPG, modernize their data and put AI to work, not in a deck, but in production. We move fast, stay close to the cutting edge, and care more about outcomes than optics.

Our work spans the full data and AI lifecycle: Data Strategy & Advisory, Data Engineering, Analytics & Visualization, Generative AI & ML, and Cloud Migration & Modernization — all delivered on Databricks, with deep partnerships across AWS, Azure, and GCP. To date, we've delivered over $2B in business value for Fortune 500 clients.

In the last year, Lovelytics has grown from 85 to 500+ people across the Americas, all while keeping the technically excellent, low-ego culture that makes the work worth doing, earning us a Best Places to Work recognition and a spot among Databricks' top partners.

We are looking for a Technical Director of Solutions to join our Manufacturing practice and act the industry expert and solution architect — leading technical strategy on key engagements and industry's asset roadmap, partnering with the IP team to prioritize, build, and package sellable assets into sellable offerings, while supporting industry marketing through POVs, blogs, and accelerator adoption.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Serve as the Technical Subject Matter Expert for the industry, acting as solution architect and technical lead/SME on the industry's most important deals
    • Interface with technical leaders across industry accounts to build and maintain strategic relationships
    • Act as product and requirements owner for backlogged assets, partnering with the IP team on solutioning, build, and project management
    • Drive adoption of company accelerators across engagements to improve delivery efficiency
    • Oversee pre-sales standards and provide QA review of recommended technical solutions across industry projects
    • Own the industry's asset roadmap, prioritizing sellable and reusable assets in partnership with the IP team
    • Collaborate with the Industry teams to package assets into sellable offerings and support their go-to-market

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years in data engineering, data architecture, analytics, or a related technical discipline, with meaningful time spent in a client-facing solution architecture role focused on Manufacturing.
    • Deep, hands-on expertise with the Databricks Lakehouse Platform and the broader cloud data ecosystem (AWS/Azure/GCP) — including data engineering, data governance, and, where relevant, ML/GenAI capabilities ,sufficient to act as the technical authority on an engagement.
    • Track record serving as solution architect and/or technical lead on complex, high-stakes client engagements, with accountability for technical direction and delivery outcomes.
    • Pre-sales experience, scoping, estimating, and presenting technical solutions to prospective clients, including comfort presenting to executive and C-level stakeholders.
    • Experience owning a product, backlog, or asset roadmap, ideally translating repeatable delivery work into reusable, sellable IP (accelerators, frameworks, templates) in partnership with a product/IP function.
    • Experience partnering cross-functionally with product, sales, and go-to-market teams to package technical capabilities into marketable offerings.
    • Strong technical QA instincts, able to review solutions designed by others against best practices, feasibility, and reusability standards, and give direct, credible feedback without formal authority over the team involved.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing architecture documentation, technical proposals, and executive-ready presentations.
