Heavy Equipment Field Technician

Purpose

Louisville Paving and Construction is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Technician with at least 5 years’ experience repairing, inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting primarily CAT heavy construction equipment.  In this role, mechanics will be responsible for repairs to the engine, electrical and hydraulic systems, among other duties.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years’ experience working on CAT heavy equipment products.
• Ability to diagnose and perform repairs using CAT ET and SIS.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a professional attitude.
• Welding experience an asset.
• Field service experience will be given preference.
• Successful candidate must have their own tools with a valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to work weekends for an on-call schedule.
