Lifesteps, a local, non-profit agency based in Butler, is currently hiring a full-time, entry-level Human Resources Associate to work with the Staff Development team in Butler, PA.

Primary Duties:

• Schedule and track employee required trainings.
• Track employee certifications, licenses and other required documentation.
• Ensure agency and regulatory compliance for HR documentation.
• Ensure compliance of personnel files.
• Prepare for, attend and participate in all licensing/audits.  
• Create and distribute regularly scheduled and/or required reports.
• Provide helpful support and customer service to staff.
• Assist employees with ordering clearances
• Schedule training dates for employees
• Gather new employee documents at weekly orientations
• Administrative tasks.

Position Requirements: 

• High School Diploma / GED and a minimum of one (1) year administrative, clerical, training and development, or human resources assistant experience
• Possess excellent thought processing, problem solving skills and the ability to work with confidential information in a responsible manner.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently.
• The ability to communicate information clearly, both written and orally, to a diverse audience utilizing strong interpersonal skills.  
• Demonstrated ability to complete moderate computer tasks including a proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Current driver’s license and the ability to travel for business utilizing personal vehicle.
• Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 & FBI clearances and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.  

Preferred:

• Associate Degree in Human Resources, Office or Business Administration or related field.
• HRCI (PHR or SPHR) or SHRM (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) certifications.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
