Senior Industrial Engineering Technician

Apply engineering theory and principles to problems of industrial layout or manufacturing production, usually under the direction of engineering staff. May perform time and motion studies on worker operations in a variety of industries for purposes such as establishing standard production rates or improving efficiency. This position may have frequent contact with professionals and others within the establishment, and performs one or a combination of such typical duties as:

• Write new clear, specific and concisely worded work documents (routers) and maintain existing work documents based on current released technical data.
• Obtain and analyze applicable data from various technical manuals, local engineering specifications, and engineered drawings to maintain data integrity within MRP II.
• Interview production artisans, productions controllers, equipment specialist, examiners and evaluators, Performance Base Logistics (PBL) representatives, and other personnel as required to effectively resolve technical directive and/or contractual requirements.
• Work independently or as a team member in performing duties.  Work requires moderate supervisory assistance, and work will be reviewed by an industrial engineering technician to ensure soundness of technique used and accuracy of results achieved.

Position is providing industrial engineering technician support at Fleet Readiness Center East, Kinston, North Carolina.  Position may also provide support at Fleet Readiness Center East, Cherry Point, NC.
