    Job description

Job Title: Project Manager - Social Media

    Salary: $55,000 - $70,000

    About us:

HashtagHealth lives at the intersection of healthcare and human connection—where strategy, creativity, and purpose collide on the platforms that matter most. Built as a social-first agency exclusively dedicated to healthcare, it transforms complex science into conversations that educate, engage, and inspire patients, caregivers, and professionals alike. From bold campaign ideas to real-time community building, HashtagHealth doesn’t just “do social”—it turns it into a powerful engine for awareness, advocacy, and action. Driven by insight, fueled by creativity, and measured by real-world impact, the team exists to help healthcare brands show up meaningfully, connect authentically, and make a difference where it truly counts: in people’s lives.

The Project Manager - Social Media is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of social media campaigns from kickoff through final delivery and project closeout. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to help ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with creative and regulatory requirements. The Project Manager plays a key role in maintaining project timelines, facilitating communication, and supporting day-to-day project operations in a fast-paced agency environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate the planning and execution of social media and multimedia projects, helping to ensure deliverables meet client expectations, timelines, and quality standards.
    • Partner with Creative, Strategy, Digital, Medical, Account, and Production teams to facilitate project communication and keep work moving efficiently through the agency workflow.
    • Prepare project materials for handoff, including specifications, assets, and routing documentation, ensuring all required components are complete.
    • Maintain project schedules, monitor milestones, identify potential risks or delays, and escalate issues as appropriate.
    • Open and manage projects within project management systems, ensuring project information remains accurate and up to date.
    • Support the routing and review process by coordinating stakeholder feedback and helping ensure materials meet agency and client requirements.
    • Assist with project financial tracking, including purchase orders, invoices, job setup, expense tracking, and budget reconciliation.
    • Help prepare project scopes, monitor project progress against timelines and budgets, and provide regular project status updates to internal teams.
    • Collaborate with senior project management and production team members to ensure projects comply with pharmaceutical regulatory and legal review processes.
    • Perform other project management and administrative duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
    • 1–2 years of experience in project management, production, account coordination, or a related role within an advertising agency, marketing organization, or similar environment. Experience in pharmaceutical advertising is a plus.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
    • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and time management skills.
    • Familiarity with project management tools and workflows; experience with agency project management systems is preferred.
    • Working knowledge of digital and social media production processes is preferred.
    • Understanding of pharmaceutical marketing regulations and medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) review processes is a plus, but not required.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
    • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow within a collaborative project management team.
