Maintenance Worker-Temporary Position

Position Summary:

Inspects, maintains, repairs and documents the operation and status of the Hospital buildings and related systems and equipment.  Provides other functions and services as necessary and appropriate to ensure a comfortable, safe healthcare environment, as well as an orderly flow of the support activities for continued Hospital operations.

Temporary Position-Varied Shifts including Weekends.

Qualifications:

Prefer technical or trade education/training in a building trade.

Prefer 2 years experience in facility general maintenance or medical building maintenance or equivalent.

Prefer Crises Intervention training.

Requires forklift certificate.

Prefer knowledge of formal maintenance procedures.

Must have knowledge of the operation of power plants, electrical distribution, and steam generation, HVAC and sanitation systems.

Knowledge and proficiency in the use of hand tools and portable and stationary power tools.
