Automotive Sales Consultant – Gulliver Auto Plano
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Automotive Sales Representative to help customers find the right vehicles based on their needs, preferences, and budget. The Sales Representative will guide customers through the sales process, explain vehicle features and options, conduct test drives, and work toward achieving sales and customer satisfaction goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate vehicles based on their preferences and budget.
- Present and explain vehicle features, specifications, pricing, warranties, and available options.
- Conduct vehicle demonstrations and test drives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers throughout the sales process.
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, online platforms, and in person.
- Follow up with prospective and previous customers to generate sales opportunities.
- Prepare and complete sales documentation accurately and in accordance with company policies.
- Negotiate vehicle pricing and terms within established company guidelines.
- Work closely with management, finance, service, and other departments to ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Maintain accurate customer records and update sales activity in the dealership or sales management system.
- Stay current on vehicle models, features, inventory, promotions, financing options, and industry trends.
- Meet or exceed individual and department sales goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional sales area and vehicle display area.
- Ensure vehicles are handled safely and professionally during demonstrations and test drives.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and applicable safety and legal requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive sales, retail sales, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Customer-focused with a professional and positive attitude.
- Ability to build rapport and establish long-term customer relationships.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn sales and customer management systems.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as required.
