Job description

Responsibilities

Administer, configure, and optimize Web Application Firewall (WAF) policies using platforms such as F5 ASM, FortiWAF, and Imperva.
Create, tune, and maintain security rules, signatures, access controls, and bot protection policies.
Manage and maintain load balancer configurations, including virtual servers, pools, health checks, and traffic management.
Manage SSL/TLS certificates, including renewal, installation, configuration, and certificate chain validation.
Troubleshoot application and network security issues involving HTTP/HTTPS, APIs, session flows, cookies, and application traffic.
Support the secure migration and integration of applications across cloud and hybrid environments.
Monitor WAF and load-balancing environments, identify security or performance issues, and implement appropriate remediation.
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure and reliable application delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Relevant experience in WAF administration, application security, and load balancing.
Hands-on experience with one or more WAF platforms such as F5 ASM, FortiWAF, or Imperva.
Good understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, DNS, SSL/TLS, APIs, cookies, and session management.
Experience managing load balancers, virtual servers, pools, health checks, and traffic-routing configurations.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze application and security-related issues.
Experience with cloud and hybrid environments and secure application migration.
Relevant industry certifications in network security, cybersecurity, or cloud technologies would be an advantage.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
