As Head of Contract Management, you will set the direction for contract management across Mammoet and ensure that global processes and procedures are implemented consistently and in line with the business strategy. Reporting to the Group Risk Officer (General Counsel), you will connect risk and business functions and guide, support and advise the regional Lead Contract Managers.
You will be responsible for strengthening the global contract management organisation: developing its people, supporting the composition and staffing of regional teams, and embedding effective ways of working. With advanced expertise in contract, process, change and risk management, you will improve governance and help the organisation manage contractual commitments effectively.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Set and implement global contract management processes and procedures in line with Mammoet’s business strategy.
- Act as Mammoet’s senior authority on contract management, advising stakeholders on contract strategy, risk, governance and performance.
- Guide, support and advise regional Lead Contract Managers, ensuring a consistent global approach while recognising regional business needs.
- Strengthen cross-functional collaboration between risk functions, procurement teams and the wider business.
- Drive the continuous professional development of contract management teams and foster a high-performance culture.
- Shape the composition and staffing of contract management teams together with regional management.
- Oversee complex, high-value and cross-border contract matters, helping teams anticipate and address commercial and contractual risks.
- Lead process, change and risk management initiatives that improve contract governance, ways of working and measurable business outcomes.
- Promote effective contract management tools, methodologies and best practices across the organisation.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical, commercial or legal discipline, such as Business Law or Supply Chain Management.
- 10 years of relevant contract management experience, preferably within an international, project-driven or industrial environment.
- Advanced knowledge of contract management, including negotiation, governance, compliance and risk management.
- Proven experience setting global processes and leading their implementation across regions and functions.
- Advanced process, change, risk and people management skills.
- A sound understanding of commercial and financial principles.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to advise and influence at all organisational levels.
- A highly professional, analytical and performance-driven approach.
- Experience guiding senior contract management professionals and developing teams.
- Willingness to travel internationally when required.
