About the Role
The Tender Specialist plays a key role in developing accurate, comprehensive, and compelling tender submissions for heavy lift and transport projects. Working closely with sales and project teams, this position translates technical and commercial information into clear proposals that communicate Mammoet’s value and deliver the best overall project strategy for the client. The successful candidate will bring initiative, sound judgment, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach to this critical role.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Partner with sales and operational teams to develop high-quality, accurate, and complete tender documentation.
- Ensure tender submissions align with customer requirements and expectations.
- Manage internal reviews and approvals proactively to ensure complete, compliant submissions are delivered by client deadlines.
- Provide technical expertise related to project estimating and operational planning.
- Support the evaluation of project risks and opportunities for both customers and Mammoet.
- Lead responses to technical questions and tender clarifications.
- Review client RFQs, specifications, and commercial requirements.
- Coordinate inputs from engineering, operations, procurement, legal, and commercial teams.
- Develop pricing, cost estimates, schedules, and commercial assumptions.
- Maintain tender records, revisions, and approval documentation.
- Support handover of awarded projects to the execution team.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- At least two years of relevant professional experience with a demonstrated attention to detail. Strong preference for heavy lift and transport industry experience but similar industries such as civil engineering, construction, or oil and gas are acceptable.
- Professional-level knowledge of sales systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Associates degree or higher in engineering, construction, business administration, supply chain management, or law/contracts management. Additional relevant experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and competing deadlines.
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret technical and contractual documentation.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills.
