• 4-Day Work Weeks (Monday–Thursday, 10-hour days) from May through October
• Flexible Winter Schedule with Monday–Friday hours and Friday afternoons off from November through April

What You’ll Do

As a Highway Maintenance Worker, you’ll perform a variety of important outdoor maintenance and roadway operations, including:

• Maintaining county roads and right-of-ways to keep travel safe and efficient
• Operating snowplows and snow removal equipment during winter weather events
• Mowing grass, trimming trees and brush, spraying weeds, and repairing washouts
• Repairing potholes, filling roadway cracks, and maintaining bridges and guardrails
• Installing and repairing posts, markers, and snow fences
• Helping improve the appearance and safety of county roadways through general maintenance and cleanup
• Ability to dig at grade around utilities

A high school diploma or any combination of education and work experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position. 

A Class A Commercial Driver's License is preferred.
