SUMMARY:
Performs a wide variety of routine and preventative maintenance/custodial duties in order to maintain a clean, orderly and safety environment in the store.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sweeps, dusts, mops, scrubs, washes, vacuums floors, walls, woodwork, windows, furniture, equipment, and hardware.
- Cleans and sanitizes rest rooms, break rooms, offices and other assigned areas. Also replenishes supplies as needed, i.e.: soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. Keep janitorial cart clean and sanitized.
- As directed after proper training – buff and wax floors according to facility floor management program.
- Collects and disposes of trash and garbage.
- Performs minor repairs of equipment and buildings as directed.
- Helps collect shopping carts in the parking lot.
- Performs outside work seasonal work as directed, shoveling snow and apply salt/sand as needed.
- Operate power equipment in a safe manner, including forklift and pallet jack (after training/certification), pressure washer, hand and power tools, floor cleaner etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned by store management.
