Could you spare a little time each week to brighten someone’s day?
Marie Curie is looking for caring, local volunteers to visit people in their homes or community settings during the last year of life. It’s about simple things that make a big difference - having a chat, offering companionship, and being there when it matters most.
Availability: 3 hours per week
Time: Flexible to suit your schedule
Location: North Wales
Criteria: Minimum 18 years of age. Willing to submit a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) application - Marie Curie will cover the cost for you
What you’ll do
Visit someone once a week in their home for a friendly chat
- Listen and offer emotional support
Share helpful information if needed
Be a reassuring presence for families and carers
Signpost to relevant Marie Curie services
