Programme PMO
Location: Flexible, with a preference for proximity to a major hub
Position type: 2 year assignment
The Programme PMO supports the Programme Director and programme leadership team through effective governance, planning, reporting, and coordination.
The role drives hands-on programme management, ensuring effective governance, clear accountability, consistent ways of working, and transparent reporting across all programme workstreams.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Own programme governance, planning and delivery controls, ensuring clear accountability, effective decision-making and delivery against key milestones.
- Manage integrated programme plans, risks, dependencies and priorities, proactively identifying challenges and driving timely resolution.
- Coordinate activities across multiple workstreams, fostering alignment, transparency and collaboration across business, digital, data and change teams.
- Develop executive-level reporting and communications, providing leadership with clear insight into progress, risks, performance and key decisions.
- Act as a trusted partner to programme leaders, maintaining momentum, strengthening governance and ensuring programme standards are consistently applied.
- Drive continuous improvement across the programme by simplifying processes, enhancing ways of working and identifying opportunities to improve delivery outcomes.
What are we looking for?
Required
- Significant experience supporting or leading complex transformation, change, or digital programmes.
- Demonstrated operational planning & execution of frameworks across multiple workstreams.
- Experience managing executive reporting and engagement with senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of programme management disciplines, including planning, risk management, dependency management, and governance.
- Experience operating within large, matrixed, and global organisations.
Preferred
- Experience within procurement, supply chain, shared services, or business transformation programmes.
- Experience supporting enterprise technology, digital, or operating model transformation initiatives.
- Professional programme management qualifications or equivalent practical experience.
