The Talent CoE at Mars helps guide Leaders and Managers as they lead teams and make talent decisions, help Associates navigate Mars to drive personal performance, development and growth; and enable P&O teams to develop talent strategies and initiatives that enable business strategies.
The Talent Specialist will be responsible for supporting and optimizing Mars' signature Talent processes including PDP (Performance & Development), MDR (Succession Planning) and Career Development. Supporting the Talent CoE and collaborating with Segments, MGS and Corporate Communications team.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Supporting end to end management of the signature processes of Performance Development Process (PDP), Career Development and Management Development Review.
Communication, in partnership with Comms team (E&I) Maintain Signature Process Eligibility rules.
Continuous Improvement Support for Talent COE and MGS (GPO, Solutions, Reporting, Dashboards).
Maintain and improve Assets in Talent Development @ Mars SharePoint.
Support capability building across Mars for Performance, Career Development, and Succession Planning including training, development of supporting material, partnering with Mars U and MGS Teams.
Career development onboarding Sessions for new joiners (quarterly).
Partnering with MGS Solutions Manager to support talent technology enhancements and new releases.
Support the Senior Talent Specialist with on-going data analysis.
Support the Career Development Project Manager with ongoing career dashboards and core success metrics.
What are we looking for?
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build collaborative partnerships across global, cross-functional teams (including P&O, Communications, and MGS teams). Ability to support onboarding and enablement sessions.
Good attention to detail with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring high-quality, precise execution.
Capability to work with, organize, and analyze datasets to generate meaningful reports and functional recommendations.
Familiarity with collaboration platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Microsoft Teams), content management systems, and digital communication tools to drive engagement and optimize the user experience.
Prior experience or foundational awareness of core corporate talent processes, including performance management, succession planning, and career development pathways is beneficial.
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of a process, analyze its current state, and implement continuous improvements.
Project management skills including planning, organizational agility, and meeting timelines across multiple stakeholders.
