Title: Machine Operator
Required Shift:
12 hour 2-2-3 Rotating Shift
B Shift
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday
Job Purpose:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating PLC driven state of the art high-speed wrapping machinery with attached automatic boxing-off or bagging units.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have met time in role (12+ Months)
- Must have line manager approval to apply
- Must be in good standing in current role
- 2+ years of experience operating high speed machinery and/or equipment in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting/carrying pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
- Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
- Ability to understand, communicate, read, and write basic work-related English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical degree or certifications
- 3+ years’ experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
- Ability to keep accurate inventory records.
- Strong understanding of all GMP’s, PPE’s and quality checks
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
Machine Operator:
- Continuously supply the wrapping machine with the appropriate finished product and wrapping materials to keep the machine running.
- Meet productivity requirements on a daily basis.
- Operates the wrapping machine with minimal waste to finished product and packaging material.
- Frequently performs quality assurance checks throughout the day, inspecting for packaging defects, material defects and gum quality.
- Perform periodic Autonomous Maintenance activities on the Wrapping Machine to ensure that it is always performing at peak efficiencies.
- Troubleshoots machinery breakdowns, cleans machine jams and aligns rolls of wrapping materials in an effort to minimize downtimes and promote productivity. productivity.
