JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Tech. supports the Colorado Market by performing entry‑level quality control testing, inspection, and documentation for aggregate and Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) materials. The role ensures that production and placement activities comply with ASTM, AASHTO, CDOT, and Martin Marietta quality standards.
This position works closely with Plant Operations, Dispatch, Project Management, and the Division Lab to monitor material consistency, support daily testing, and help maintain strong customer relationships. The Quality Tech. plays a key role in identifying potential quality issues, supporting environmental stewardship, and ensuring that safety remains the top priority across all tasks.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience
CAPA Levels A & B certification is required
Radiation Safety Training Certificate
Work Experience
No prior work experience required; 6 months – 1 year in Quality Control Testing within HMA or Aggregates is preferred.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. for equipment servicing.
Required to bend, stoop, climb, and reach. You must be able to maintain three points of contact when climbing on/off machinery or on ladders.
