AM - Hybrid Drivetrain Design & Development

Role: To design and develop drivetrain parts of automotive e-transmission

Responsibilities:

• Layout and packaging of transmission in vehicle

• Design and development of gear train parts for adapting motor/engine

• Design of forced lubrication system to meet motor cooling & transmission lubrication requirement.

• Develop proto parts & tooled up parts - concurrent engg. with supplier.

• Countermeasure to failures of driveline parts in testing.

• Analysis of market problems/NVH & Assembly issues pertaining to transmission system (Pump, gear train, thermal system).

Competency Requirements Technical/ Functional:

• CAD proficiency - Uni-graphics (mandatory) & CAE

• Design: Gear & Shaft, Bearing selection, Lubrication & Cooling circuit

• Work experience of Gear design software (UG/ Kissoft/ Romax)

• Tolerance stack-up, GD&T, Statistical analysis, BOM Management

• Understanding of thermal and hydraulic system design

• Understanding of production processes & design for manufacturing

• Knowledge of problem-solving tools – FTA, DFMEA, QC tools Behavioral

▪ Preferably have work experience in an OEM ▪ Good driving skills & Willingness to travel
