Role:
To design and develop gear box housing (Aluminum casting) in automotive transmissions
Responsibility:
- Lay-outing and packaging of transmission in vehicle
- Designing of gear box housing i.e. Modelling, Designer CAE & 2D
- Development of proto parts & tooled up parts by concurrent engineering with suppliers & Production engineering
- Analysis of CAE & testing failures/ market problem pertaining to gear-box housing
Technical Competencies:
- CAD proficiency- Uni-graphics (mandatory)
- Designer CAE & analysis proficiency– Uni-graphics (mandatory)
- Understanding of Aluminum casting processes including HPDC, LPDC, GDC & sand casting
- Understanding of manual transmission sub-systems- gearbox, gear shift mechanism, synchromesh system
- Tolerance stack-up
- Project management using Gant chart & PERT techniques
Educational Qualification:
B.E, B. Tech, M. Tech in in Mechanical
Minimum 60% marks or Equivalent
Experience:
3~6 Years of relevant experience
